How about a combination: some reservations some not? Leave plenty of time to get to the coast then have reservations for a couple of locations?
I would make reservations for Glacier and Redwoods. The others should be OK.
For Glacier, we stayed at Glacier Meadow RV park in Essex. Located ON US 2 between the East and West Entrances to Glacier. Easy drive to both entrances. Reasonable rates. (you will need a cell booster)
For Redwoods, we stayed in 2 locations: KOA in Crescent City CA. Be sure to take the Howland Hills road scenic drive and drive the Enders Beach RD south of town to the Crescent Beach Overlook (picnic area). Then we moved to Redcrest CA to Ancient Redwoods RV Park located on Avenue of the Giants.
