When we visited Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon, we stayed in the national park campgrounds. And, I'm glad we did. So, what if we left Pennsylvania at the end of July and got to the parks in August/September? Would the crowds start diminishing? I realize that a bit later, would be better, but our church has quite a few activities at the end of September/early October that I help with.
And, thanks for the advice on additional parks to visit. I am thinking that we will hit the northwestern part of the US this time and visit the southwestern part at a later date.
