Spare Tire Carrier missing parts

I just purchased a 2011 Fleetwood Tioga Ranger. The previous owner removed the spare tire from the rear of the RV to mount a motorcycle carrier. I want to mount my spare tire in it original location. But I believe I am missing a bracket. I have post a picture of what is currently mounted on the back of my RV.

  • That looks promising, now when I get back home to my RV I’m going to have to go through everything again thanks
  • Maybe a larger lug plate,my tab goes thru the lug plate, the wheel rests on the tab and does not wobble when the nut is tight.

  • I tried that, the tab is bigger than the hole for the lug to go through

    Just guessing here......
The tab hole is for a padlock for theft security. The missing plate is you mystery component.

Maybe the RV manufacture can help locate a new plate.

Maybe you can search the internet for a motor home like yours and see if you can find a picture of it with the missing plate so you know what to seek out.

I searched myself and found every spare tire with a cover over it.

Do a thorough search throughout your rig. Just maybe the previous owner tossed it somewhere inside and forgot he had done so.
  • Yes the Rod is threaded, and I have the nut that goes on it, but the tire will rock back and forth. The tab above the Rod has a small hole in it
  • Is that rod threaded? You may only need a Lug Plate and a nut to hold the wheel on,or a pin or lock to put thru that tab on top.
  • I havn't seen any reply in 2 days after the initial post, Hopefully someone can see this
  • Thanks IAMICHABOD, that helped I have now added the picture to my post
