Always carry a spare either mounted or unmounted.
Mounted means Good Sam or coach net can dispatch someone to you almost immediately to change the tire.
Recently I had a blowout in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday I had a spare that was put on my vehicle within an hour. I asked the tire company driver if the had a tire they could sell me. He stated he could order the tire today but that I would have to wait till tomorrow when they got their delivery and then he could mount it for me.
24 hours in nowhere land because I do not carry a spare. NO THANK YOU
If I had no spare then Good Sam or Coach net would have had to find a different responder to come with the spare. Then you take what they got not what you want. You are in a really crappy bargaining position at that point and may wait hours for service
