Special DL Required for RV's over 26,000 GVWR

When I had the Monaco forty foot dp in order to be legal in NC I had to get a Class B license with air brake endorsement. In NC it is not over 26000 but 26001 and over. With that being said I never was checked or stopped. The DL examiner at the time told me I was one of the few who actually applied for one. All it took was a night or two of study, taking the test on a computer and having a picture taken along with the fee of course. The dl examiner told me I would be fine wherever I went in the US.
