DW says wash about an hour dry depends on the fabric 2-3 hours. I do have to clean the exhaust vent, it tends to collect lint and reduce air flow. I use a flexible hose connected to DW's vacuum, I lift one of the vent flaps and snake it down.
Here is a lint cleaning procedure provided to me by Westland Sales a few years back. A lot of that lint you are vacuuming out will just blow out. This procedure also cleans out internal lint. The reason for the high water level requirement is to get this internal lint wet as it is in a pipe on the back of the drum. I do this every few weeks/months depending on normal usage.
1. Start the unit without clothes and with the dry time off on cycle # 11. When the water stops entering the unit push and hold the start button until all the lights come on then release the button. *NOTE: If the water is not at least half way up the glass repeat this step.
2. Move the cycle knob to cycle # 2 push the extra rinse button then press the start button once (do not hold) then let it run through that complete cycle.
