Sprinter van height

I am buying a 2014 144" sprinter high roof van and I have a 10ft high garage door.

Will this vehicle fit in my garage? It does not have a roof ac

I have these measurements. The van roof 107.5

Tracvision a7. 5" plus 1" off the roof ?

Sprinter antenna. 7" above roof?

18" rims. Add 1/2 to an 1"

Are these correct? If so the sprinter antenna is highest item over the roof?

Looks like I will have 4-5 inches to spare

Does the sprinter antenna unscrew?

Thanks for the help.
  • You should be OK as long as you don't have an incline up to the garage. I assume you don't have a garage door opener that would be in the way.
I think most antennas now days unscrew, but not sure about the Sprinter.
I think I read where some have removed the roof antenna, got a plug from the dealer for the hole, and installed a side mounted antenna. Sounds like a pretty easy solution.
  • mines older but it fits in a ten ft door ,measures 9ft 7in. MAKE SURE your garage door is ALL THE WAY UP, not hanging open a couple inchs. and have a person on a step ladder watch you the first time.
  • Off topic but someday in the future could you post a quick review of your Tracvision A7 after you have used it for awhile. I was considering one of those also.
  • We have a 140" wheelbase first generation high roof Sprinter and it just barely fits under our 9ft garage door. We don't have rooftop AC so the antenna sticks up highest - above the fantastic fan and vents. We have to unscrew the antenna before garaging the unit, but that's way easier than needing offsite storage!

We've rented a 144" (second generation) Sportsmobile Sprinter and the rooftop configuration looked similar, although I didn't have any need to garage that unit or attempt to unscrew the antenna.
