State parks on gulf

We would like to stay in some state parks along the gulf. I was checking into state parks in Texas, Miss.,Al, La and Florida panhandle on the gulf. We will be heading down from Wi shortly after the new year and will be gone at least 6 weeks possibly 8-12. We have a 37 ft class A. Are considering moving around a bit even from state to state and was wondering if anyone had any favorite state parks along the gulf in any of these states. The only reason why I mention state parks is the cost factor. Would consider other RV parks if reasonable. Any suggestions appreciated

  • Gulf State Park in Alabama is beautiful. Nice size lots and not too close together. Happy Camping
  • We like Galveston Island State Park. It's nice and the beaches are expansive and not crowded. It's not blue pretty water or white sands, but nice in its own nature.

Be sure to bring plenty of bug spray to keep mosquitoes off. When we went there were a bunch and the local stores were all sold out of repellent.
  • We have stayed at these, I left off the list the ones we did not like IE Mustang Island in Texas
