I have been looking at "bargain" class C's and have found some nice older ones. looks like 88 and older fords are carbureted. but there are a few nice ones. that to me is the only downside to them. so...

if ya find one you like look at the aftermarket fuel injection kits available now. Also look for an electronic ignition. You could probably get both fairly reasonable. There are throttle body kits like chebby used and there are some injector kits but the need new intake manifolds I believe? Go to a hot rod site and ask about them there or look at some of the truck sites for the version you like and ask them. Ford truck enthusiest is a good one to start with. As posted about the doges yess they were a pain to do anything with. had the worst distributors on the market which caused a lot of the problems. I ended up with a mallory dual point back when just to have good ignition! My BIL had added water and everything else to get his to run and run cool but eneded up with a 4BT install to solve the problems.
