stay away from carbureted?
I have been looking at "bargain" class C's and have found some nice older ones. looks like 88 and older fords are carbureted. but there are a few nice ones. that to me is the only downside to them. so...

We had a 1988 Minnie Winnie 26' Class C Ford. It had a factory Holley carb on the 460 engine. I second the motion that the 460 will take you anywhere you want to go. Even over Berthoud Pass in Colorado.
I personally do not like Holleys because they are prone to leak gas with all the gasket joints in them. I bought an Edelbrock 750 CFM #1411 Performer carb and installed it. I run the motorhome 12 years with no carb problems at all. Biggest issue with this camper was the Ford ignition box. They can fail and make you think you have a carb issue. Carry a spare:) Good luck in your search:)
