I have no experience with stealth camping.
Where are you hearing about the cops being so on top of it?
I have read that in San Diego, CA the law against camping on the street is being strictly enforced.
And, I'm sure many 'tourist' type locations like ocean front communities strictly enforce it, at least during the peak season.
Other than that I have heard or read nothing about enforcing laws on stealth camping.
Please, let us know where you are hearing this, maybe boondocking will be next on the enforcement list.
