I'm glad either yours is quieter than mine was, or just that the noise does not bother you. Many people tell me my hearing is acute, but I've tested slightly below average due to exostosis of the ear canals from surfing in too much cold water.
My Norcold really bothered me, but having a fridge is soooo much better than a cooler and ice, and my current fridge (dc only) is just coasting along in the same cabinet with some modifications for maximum non recycled airflow through condenser.
Do make sure your condenser can breathe properly. Allow no more than 1 inch behind the coils so that convection increases airflow through the coils. I had disconnected the 24v 80mm fan that came with the Norcold and ran it 24/7 on 12 volts forcing air upwards across the coils. An Internal fan makes a huge differences in my experience in both cooling down warm items and even temps throughout the whole box. One time when the power to my these additional fridge fans was compromised I'd noticed the duty cycle rose significantly, and my IR thermometer showed mid to high 40's inside.
While My Norcold was able to freeze things that were in direct contact with the cold plate, often I'd find water leaking from the fridge. Putting in a half gallon of tomato Juice would partially defrost the evaporator, and overflow the shallow catch plate.
I wound up just using the freezer section for putting a carton of a dozen eggs. They never froze.
My Vitrifrigo starts freezing everything on a setting of 3.5 of 7, and I usually run it in the 2.1 to 2.4 range to maintain sub 35f, and nothing placed in the freezer ever defrosts.
BTW, good to see you posting again. It is one of the few reasons I even click on the class b subforum anymore
