Sprinters are already "made" here in the US, due to the chicken tax. They are built, partially disassembled, then "re-assembled" here in the US.
It would be nice if they were truly made here, similar to Transits or Toyota Tundras.
I heard a rumour from a local RV dealer that Mercedes Benz is planning to have the Sprinter completely built in the USA for our market. That would presumably apply to the units sent here for RV conversions. ANybody heard that?
Correct that is what Mercedes wants to do, I would assume in a Freightliner factory
