I note that Winnebago and Itasca have this feature. The basement compartments under the slide go out with the slide, so one does not have to crawl under to access the compartments. I haven't noticed...

The BIG drawback is adding weight to the slide out.
I carry my tools, hoses, electrical cords, parts, spare sat dish, etc in mine. I should be carrying feather pillows and bedding.
