StoreMore Slideout System
I note that Winnebago and Itasca have this feature. The basement compartments under the slide go out with the slide, so one does not have to crawl under to access the compartments. I haven't noticed...

I had not noticed that. I'm looking used, not new, and it seems to be through most of the product line in the years I've been studying brochures, about 2000 to 2006, even in the Diesel Itasca Horizon and Winnebago Journey, which are two lines I'm very much interested in.
I wonder if it is significant that they dropped this feature from their higher product lines. Sign of problems, or hurting sales?
I see no problem reaching under a slide-out to retrieve something from a compartment. After all, the door opens upward and it's going to be a little bit in the way anyway.
I don't personally see the StoreMore as an attractive feature; I just don't know if it is something worth avoiding. My concern is that I do a lot of camping in freezing weather and having heated storage is important, though probably not critical. I'm not sure how much I would need pass-through storage, or miss it if I don't have it.
