I note that Winnebago and Itasca have this feature. The basement compartments under the slide go out with the slide, so one does not have to crawl under to access the compartments. I haven't noticed...

I have seen several people mention they did not want the storage that comes out with the slide because they wanted pass thru storage. I may be wrong but I believe that pass thru storage requires a rear engine/raise rail configuration. On front engine MH's the drive line runs thru the area that would be pass thru storage.
