Thank you all for your answers. As for my unit:
My RV is equipped with a propane tank, not a cylinder. The tank is equipped with a fuel gauge. I know the gauge works since I serviced the entire tank unit a year ago when I purchased the RV.
I thought about cobwebs, but this problem began affecting all three burners, all at the same time. Plus the burners now behave differently, for instance I had a rear burner that only made a very small flame that I only used for simmering rice, now it has a tall (yellowish) flame. I'll check for cobwebs or debris but I don't expect to find any. I'll check the orifices too, but again don't expect to find any issues.
My hot water heater and refrigerator are electric, I haven't used my furnace since I bought the RV (I expect the furnace to work but I've had no need for it). The only propane use I have is for cooking.
As far as cleanliness under the stove top, when I bought the rig it was filthy. I had to scrap out grease and crud with a putty knife! It has gotten a little dirty over the past year, but nothing a quick wipe with a rag won't cleanup.
The more I think about it the more I think it's a failing regulator. Now I wonder, is it the regulator at the tank or is there a secondary regulator built into the stove? Questions, questions, questions... at least I can still cook on it.
