Streets and Trips

I've recently purchased Streets and Trips and am in the process of learning to use it for routing. Question: the route being planned is shown in blue but will occasionally have a section in red. What does the red indicate? Thanks in advance.../ Larry

One caution I will give you...

S&T defaults to "Fastest route" which they define as Shortest Route, Now I have trusted it on many occasions and it took me down some very fine streets.. And a couple of times on some really.. "Interesting" Trips (Think bad acid) I mean "Roads" and I use that word loosley, more suitable to a jeep or a mountain goat than a 38 Class A.

You need to go to MORE OPTIONS, Segments and then choose Preferred Roads.

If you are connected to the internet when you plan a trip it should also give you an option to up date construction information. Click on it and the construction info will update. We use and like streets and trips, would never be without now.

Thanks. Figured thought it might be a construction area but was not sure. / Larry
