stress fracture
A 6 inch or so diagonal stress crack appeared on our brand new (10 day old) RV coming off the bottom corner of the bedroom slide. Is this normal? It looks pretty rough.

I am sad for you. We all have problems with our coaches from time to time, but usually after we have had a chance to come to love the lifestyle and understand what needs to be done.
Following the manufacturer's advice in a case like this is the best route to go. They have more at stake than the dealer. Also, if need be, they have resources to bring it back to the factory for necessary repairs and replacements. Note I said they can bring it back, not you can drive it to the factory. Keep on top of your factory service rep, let him drive CW to get it right. You have a lot in the coach and Monaco owes you a good coach. My coach is over two years old and has never been back to the selling dealer. It has been back to the factory (my choice) and I received excellent service and a couple of good will upgrades, but that is Tiffin, still owned by the founding family.
