So my dad gave me his old rv that he just replaced the main board in the furnace its a Suburban model NT34 S and it seems to run fine about 3 time, then it goes to ignite the 4th time and will not ign...

I believe the thermostat bi-metal and attenuator(anticipator) is heating up and failing.
This will NOT affect the control operation of the Sail switch and Circuit board. The Heat anticipator actually heats up and causes the spring main tstat coil to open the furnace contacs in ANTICIPATION of the necessary heat that will be exhausted to prevent the Furnace from overshooting its set temp setting. Has nothing to do when the tstat calls for heat. Doug
