If you absolutely can't get a spot to camp right at Disney, there's always the "next-to-best" plan of getting a camping spot at least in the Orlando area somewhere within driving distance of Disney, then driving to Disney where your kids can still experience the fun. The key will be getting a camping spot close enough so mom & dad aren't exhausted from the commute to and from Disney. It's certainly not as good as camping right at Disney, but once you're in Disney for the day the experience is still great for the kids. I would think that with the prices for camping, hotels, etc, in Disney itself that many people opt for staying nearby rather than right in the park.
