Recently got a 2016 Forester 3011DS (with front entertainment center).
We downsized from a Newmar Kountry Star DP. Kountry Star was 38 ft and 15 years old (we bought it new in 2001).
Have had the Forester for about 3 months and have been out 4 times. Approx a week to 10 days each time. Couldn't be happier.
The Forester has plenty of storage, inside and out (a big requirement). A queen walk around bed (another biggie).
First trip out I thought I had 4 issues that needed to be addressed by the dealer. After second trip realized that 3 of the issues were operator error (hate when that happens :) ). Finally boiled it down to 1 real problem (Ford mirror issue not a Forest River issue) and 3 small adjustments.
Forester has plenty of power with the V10 and 6-spd tranny. We have a Honda CRV for a toad.
Downsizing has not been an issue. There is the two of us and the two four-legged fur kids (boxer and golden retriever).
