This is nothing new and I am not sure why you think it is. A friend of mine who was on the RV vendor circuit had super singles installed on his coach back in the early 2000's.
By the way, I read the exact post that I responded to and I responded with the exact question that I would ask of him. Just because he has not gotten stranded yet when his one and only tire goes flat, it's highly likely that it could. I have had 2 flats on one of my duals and in both cases I was able to drive to a location where I could get the one repaired (or both replaced) without having to call road service.
If you think everyone should read every post from every poster before responding to a single post then you have way more time on your hands than I do.
