Having to
manually start you gen could be problematic -- imagine losing power when an electric heater or other large draw device was running. This could run your batteries down to nothing.
That's why I had an auto-gen start installed. But I really want to avoid a loud gen starting up in the middle of the night.
So . . . for those low voltage situations, I bought an auto former with a 10% boost. So far no more running the generator.
