Having to manually start you gen could be problematic -- imagine losing power when an electric heater or other large draw device was running. This could run your batteries down to nothing.
That's why I had an auto-gen start installed. But I really want to avoid a loud gen starting up in the middle of the night.
So . . . for those low voltage situations, I bought an auto former with a 10% boost. So far no more running the generator.
So far the way I have things set up. When the power goes out, (aside from the lighting) everything shuts down.
Would be cool to have an auto start installed though. You're not in Arizona by any chance are you? ... :B
