I've had a little experience with the new 12 volt compressor fridges both the chest type and in wall type. Dan Foss makes some but not all of these compressors. I would take this type of fridge over a propane model any day. A robust solar panel should be part of the equation as well as a 220 amp hour battery bank. Long term dry camping would be no problem with this type of setup. We will be installing a compressor type fridge in our little C at some point. We have a compressor type chest fridge freezer on our A as a basement fridge. Draws little power. Very convenient. We also use a similar unit running off a 55 amp hour AGM battery hooked to a portable 80 watt solar panel in our smart car tent trailer setup. We go for 4 days at a time with no problems....if we get at least some sun. Otherwise a quick charge off the smart car battery during a grocery run works well...equivalent to running the motor on a B for a while. My point is the compressor fridges are power misers. Perfect match for the class B RV market.
