I have an electric 2-way compressor fridge and wouldn't go back. It fits our style of traveling. We can park in an overlook or trailhead and not worry about how level the rig is while we go off hiking. We have solar and a good coach battery. The solar will more than keep up with the charge needed for the fridge on most days. Without sun, we can run about 3 days from battery.
