Fridge type choice depends on your style of camping. If you are mostly touring (driving around), then you are constantly charging your batteries, so a DC fridge is not an issue - you won't really need solar charging.
If you want to sit and boon-dock, then you might want a 3 way (propane) unless you want to invest and have room for more batteries and a solar setup.
If you are campground with AC hookup mostly, then again, not really an issue as you switch to AC.
Even though people are saying the compressor fridges have low draw, it's still a couple amps on average. So do the math, considering your camping style, and you can figure out how much battery you'll need.
