To me, that makes a 3-way absorption reefer just too much of a pain. Leveling, switching power sources, less efficient overall, and the unending recalls that never really work. I'll take the compressor fridge, thank you very much.
It boggles me to see complaints online about absorption fridges. I've had them for 25 years and never had a single failure, issue or problem. They always work and use very little LP. I keep a level bubble to make sure I'm not too far out of whack, but that VERY rarely can I not find a spot that is level enough to keep the fridge working.
