It seems ridiculous to only equip with a 2-way fridge. And 3-way appliances are not a thing of the past. My 2010 Roadtrek 190 has one. How would I dry-camp without it?
We just got done with 3 days of dry camping with 07 C190P with a compressor frig. Van never moved or run for over 72 hours, watched DVD movies running the surround sound even through the inverter (5.5
AH per movie). 200 watts of solar had us leaving with the batteries totally full, just as they had been when we arrived. Mostly sunny the last day, but previous days were less than half. We got full every day. Two of the 3 days I shut off the solar for part of the day to prevent overcharging the batteries.
A compressor frig is very compatible with solar if done right.
