You guys can clean your rads as one sees fit but some bad information is being posted here in my opinion.Do not I repeat do not "use a pressure washer with 2650 psi unit
use like 1200PSI and a proper solvent will do the job.2600 will ruin your rad fins guaranteed.
Well,
That's odd, you see, my fins are as straight as arrows after the use of that pressure washer. Not even one fin bent. I would have posted not to do so if I'd have even damaged one fin. But, in numerous applications, no fins were damaged. And, it did take that much pressure to force the accumulated road debris/gunk/blow by oil/dust/disintegrated leaves/bees/ and much more, from a 45,000 mile radiator and CAC.
If you, or anyone else choses to not use a pressure washer, that's fine by me. It's your coach, but a blanket statement that you "guaranty" damage, just simply doesn't apply. I have proof. For one thing, the radiator I had WAS an aluminum one and the CAC is aluminum. So the fins are quite a bit stronger than on the present radiator I now have which, is a copper/brass one.

I know exactly how the DP rads are built ,I own one and have worked on a few.I never said do not use a pressure washers at all. dont know where u get that from.I simply say and will stand by it DO not use 2650 lbs.cut it down to around 1200-1500 or so thats what i said,U do whatever u want. I,am just warning people in general of the dangers of using that high pressure on rads especially whom are not that familar with pressure washers and proper useage.I say Just dont use that much PSI. EOS. we can agree to disagree I guess.
