There is also a synthetic blend that is a comprise between the two oils. Synthetic oils are superior but the cost is a consideration. Changing from synthetic to regular oil should not be an issue. Most synthetic oils are compatible with regular oils now. In the early years some did not mix well. Some old timers still say not to mix but the manufacturers say its okay to mix. Don't believe anyone that tells your that you need to "flush" all the old oil out before you switch. Good luck.
