Manufacturers recommendations are based on AVERAGE usage for that size engine. The vast majority of diesel engines ARE NOT made to be used in the manner ( hours or miles) that motorhomes are used. One year I had a whopping 17 miles on mine...another a total of 30. You think Im doing an oil change for a 30 mile round trip. Guess again!
