By balancing the temperature control setting and fan speed, we've found our F53 heat to be relatively easy to maintain within our comfort level. Turning the temp control/coolant flow rate down for instance, while turning the fan up a notch or two, lowers the output temperature more effectively than just turning the temp control down. A blend door would certainly be more effective, but re-engineering the system is not something I'm about to jump into given the relatively short time we're traveling versus parked and living in the coach.
Some days I travel10-12 hours, so keeping the cockpit temp comfortable makes these long days easier. What I usually end up doing is turning the A/C or heater off when it gets to cold or hot, then back on again later. Shouldn't have to do it that way, but without good temp control, that's what I have to do.
