I always pressure up to the max shown on the sidewall. That way I don't have to worry about adjusting pressure depending on load.
The last time I bought tires the dealer said they could only use the pressure shown on the tire pressure sticker on my RV. Liability was the reason.
When I got home I filled them up to the sidewall max.
