Correct PSI per weight is important but no manufacture recommends going below 75% of max tire inflation.
Example would be a 275 80 22.5 H ( 120 PSI max) rated tire should not be inflated less than 90-95 PSI no matter the weight.
Tire Max PSI is just that, doesn't mean you need it. But Max PSI is much better than low PSI.
