The Dream Came True
This post is for those who say that there aren't enough follow-up posts on this forum. Enjoy:
Well over a year ago I had a dream -- to have a Class B van of my own. Its primary purpose would be to let me go to conferences in a more relaxed manner, stopping off on the way there or back whenever I wished. No more uncomfortable hotels with noisy kids running up and down the halls late at night, or noisy drunks knocking on your door even later. Oh, and safe and comfortable accommodations for a tiny canine traveling companion.
About a year ago, I purchased the van that would become IVan -- short for "I love this Van!"
Last week was the absolute realization of the dream. I had planned to attend a conference in Reno, with a chance to go up the back side of the Sierras to experience the fall color. My favorite place in the world is the June Lake Loop, so I always plan a stop there.
The trip was unbelievably perfect. I dry-camped all the way, with one night of genuine stealth camping tossed in. The conference was more interesting than expected. And the aspens at June Lake were in full glowing sunshiny golden yellow -- just look at my new signature picture.
I have taken other trips in IVAN before this, but this one was perfect -- the realization of the dream.
May all of your RV dreams be as happily fulfilled as mine
