Yes I do get 8 mpg. My buddy gets near 9 with his, his trailer is a foot lower and 2k lbs lighter than mine. I used to get in the 6's with mine. Then I started to run 93 octane which improved it .5 mpg. Then I got a tuner. With the 89 octane tow tune I started averaging 7.3 mpg. I then found a good wind deflector for the roof on the Excursion which helped out a lot! With that I now average 8 mpg. Sometimes in the high 7's sometimes in the low 9's.
I agree a Class A is a little less aerodynamic, but you should still be able to get mid 7's without a problem.
