I would guess that most standard insurers are going to have a relatively low dollar allowable for towing.
I know when I lost a wheel on my 5er, I maxed out whatever my insurer would pay (I think it was SAFECO) as well as AAA. And still had to come out of pocket. It was around a 50 mile tow to the nearest service center.
