Bought one for my Suburban a long time ago and did allright on it, then got one for my '01 PSD Excursion and don't remember the company, but they were out of Detroit. I had a $250 ded and did ok on a couple of repairs, ubtill I was on the way to New Mexico towing the trailer and it ate three injectors in La Grande,Or. Took it to the local Ford Dealer and, even with only 100 miles over the PSD warranty,Ford wouldn't cover them. That's when I found that the injectors weren't covered and the dealer charged me full book for ALL three injectors replaced on the one side.
When we bought this MH,I followed the advice of a number of the nay-sayers here and put the money for the warranty in the bank. Inside of the first year,I had spent almost $7K on repairs and they would all have been covered by the $3K I didn't spend. I now have a Cornerstone service contract from Wholesale warranties with a $100 ded and in 6 months it has paid for itself twice over. New cooling coils for the 14 cf fridge, jack seals on three jacks and the jack motor and replaced the gennie starter. My new philosophy is that if it is over 5 years old, get a service contract.
