Many (most if not all) dealers have a sign or a paragraph in the repair authorization that says something like "Not responsible for whatever happens to your property" (Note: this is not even close to the actual wording, but it is to the meaning)
Many lawyers have shoved this sign/language up the dealer's.. exhaust port.
And that's all i can say.. By accepting the rig for repair the dealer accepts responsibility.. However your insurance may take care of the damage,, Then they can deal with the dealer.
And what is worse (for the dealer) is in this case the porter admitted negligence (not locking the door).
