Yeah, they think people are really that stupid, and experience bears is out. And not just in the RV business. Look at Toyota. They had a good reputation for building quality cars until lately. Yesterday they announced an 800,000 unit recall to fix a previous recall for the same problem.
And as far as advertising goes, you can't really expect an ad exec to say "On a quality scale of A to F, we're proudly a C-". Being a good liar in the ad game is a plus. Its our job to know that. That's the way the game is played.
