Before you leave home, make sure your house, mail, health insurance, doctoring, bill paying are taken care of or you know what to do about them while you are south.
Best thing to do is to camp around next winter and try out some of the different towns mentioned. Really depends on your interests. Also, some people stay at RV resorts with all kinds of activities, some stay at State and County parks in more natural settings, and move around. And everything in between.
