Hi,
Re your questions: The Sprinters with the MB classis track very well due to a well-engineered(tight) steering geometry and the anti-yaw ESP nannies. I have never had any significant wind effects even from strong side wind gusts which minimally pushes against the van.It is high but the centre of gravity is low given the heavy chassis, metal body and the interior cabinets and appliances, so I wouldnt call it top heavy. My Pleasure Way Plateau TS has heavily tinted windows which inhibits interior heating on sunny days. Most Bs have that nowadays. I nearly bought a Pleasureway Excel TS but the Ford e350 front end is 'twitchy' and tends to wander in windy conditions. The same rig with the CHev chassis is significantly better probably due to the special stability control system CHev puts in their vans. And it works. With two dogs I think many would agree that the Sprinters might be a bit narrow in the gallery area with two doggies running around. The Winnebago ERA is a good deal for the money but it IS 24 ft. I would get a 210 model ROatrek with the CHev chassis--I have one dog,Holly(Coton de Tulear) known as The Princess of Madagascar. She is happy in our PW. The 210 RT has a full shower/toilet which is good to wash your pooches if it is too wet(rain) outside to use the exterior shower which we use for Holly. No offence to those who have Ford E350 chassis but Ford has known about their steering deficiency and hasn't,as far as I know, corrected it with an available fix.Rear wheel spacers and rear anti-roll bars help but they are not standard--or weren't when I considered buying one.I drove a 2010 PW Excel TS--lovely rig, hard to keep on that rough road with heavy rain and wind blowing across the front end. Good luck. Many useful pointers from others too.
