I always laugh when lot of bragging about generators indicate that members leave their house only to sit in their RV whole day with AC on.
I live in California and in 30 years of camping here, never need AC on my family camping. We go to high Sierra to the lakes and even in our boating years, when we camp in trailer with 105F, we spend day in the lake, while evenings at the campfire.
Good part of CA is that regardless 105F at noon, we still get 70's at nights.
Having older ClassA with very heavy generator, I removed it as I did not feel like carrying 400lb dead weight, what gave us nice storage in smaller coach.
Not sure I understand the point of your post. I don't live in CA and how we use our RV requires a genset. We travel, often in hot weather and are in the RV for 6-8 hours at a time. Without genset and AC it would be unbearable. Sorry, I don't understand what you are getting at. If you don't need a genset, great. not sure what this has to do with this post though.
