That's OK if you live in Cali and camp in the mountains but try not having a generator in the South West/Mojave desert, you wont be able to use the RV till 11 pm at night and better be out of it by 9 am almost 6 months of the year.
We have days that are 110 degrees in the shade and still around 95 degrees at midnight.
I own timeshare in Las Vegas for over 20 years and the reason I own it is because I don't want to go camping there. Still Valley of Fire is my favorite hiking area and we've been there with 135F heat.
Don't you have Mt Charlston within 1 hr of drive to get away from the heat?
Point is that camping is giving you choices. When in Las Vegas you might have them limited, I see lot of RV owners from northern states bragging about "must have big generator" .
What is the point?
