There are many types of flooring you can use depending on layout, usage and how slides roll if you have a slide. On our 2001 Monaco Diplomat, 2 slides I replaced carpet wit lock and click cork. Very quiet, warmer than carpet and easy to clean. Big slide has rollers mounted on the floor and the slide rolls on them. Bedroom slide doesn't roll on floor. Floor is floating however I put it tight to the walls and around the doghouse cabinet under the dash and no problems. Took my time and no trim required. As far as water issues, no flooring is going to stand up to prolonged, constant exposer to water. Spills and short term not an issue.
