Thor AXIS or VEGAS ruv

This is one of the smaller class A's I've seen. Searching for price they range from $65k to $95k, not cheap for only 23ft long.

Anyway, anyone here own one?

As expensive as the Thor class A's are I'd guess they are a high quality motorhome?
  • Actually they are 25.5 feet long and 94" wide! We downsized from a 37 foot A and really love ours! Hubby much prefers driving it, too! Seems pretty innovative and spacious for its size, however we usually only camp for a week at a time.

what kind of fuel mileage you get?
  • Not impressed with Thor quality control. They have come along way but standards are not as high as the other MH manufactures. Thor has bought up several manufactures but done little to improve quality.

I have to disagree. While it's in style now to bash Thor, I recently walked through a lot of manufacturers including Newmar and found the exact same lack of quality. If you walk through all of them and didn't look at the badges I would challenge you to tell me what brand you were in.
  • We are getting between 10 to 11 mpg.

Have to agree with Effy. This is our second Thor motor home. The last one we purchased when it was 12 months old, so someone else had done any first year warranty work if there were factory quality control issues. However, with regular maintenance, we had 12 virtually trouble free years with it.

This time we purchased new, and while we have had some things needing to be fixed, which can be aggravating, I cannot say enough good things about Thor's willingness to stand behind their product and warranty. For us, their customer service has been great! Realizing that virtually all new RV's have some factory quality control issues, and ours did too, the bottom line is that if we were to buy another motor home, we would still consider purchasing a Thor. They definitely had the best length, width, and floor plan for us this time!!
  • I rented the Thor Axis and had a great time in it. I had my friend and his family camp with me since there are experienced campers. 5(3 adults, 2 teens) slept comfortably. Never driven a motorhome before and got comfortable quickly.

Flat east coast highway driving 11-11.8 MPG over 1100 miles (Speed limit driving)

No towing just a bike rack.
