Sites, you stated you go boon docking. I live in San Dog also (East County). I too own a class C but not a Thor. Just a heads up.... I will be very careful going through dirt roads.. the washboard roads really tear the hell out of the class C's. the more you go on them roads the more that goes wrong in your rv. Things come loose, and start breaking. Also I dont know if your Onan Ginny slices out of the compartment or not but if not, you are asking for trouble if you continue to go on dirt roads. I had done it several times and then my ginny went out on me. I took it to a place off E.2nd st. in El Cajon to get it fixed, it cost me either $1,600 or $1,800 to get it repaired. It wasnt at a Onan dealer shop, it would have cost me more. the warranty is either 30days or 90. anyway what happens is dust and sand get up into the I want to say the rotor contacts and the outside of them are plastic, the sand and dust causes friction and to heat up and melt... I only had about 63 hours on it. Some one else only had 25hrs on theirs. If you cant slide it out, you can not get to it internally to air hose the grime out..By the way what dealer and where in Texas did you purchase your C?
