Oh no. Sorry to hear about the slide problems. I am pretty familiar with the Ford diesels, hopefully the recall was just a PCM reprogram? I recently bought a ScanGuage II to monitor the engine vitals (like exhaust temps and regen cycles). I even purchased a spare exhaust temp sensor...if one goes out it can disable the truck. My two biggest fears are slide breaking or unable to retract while on a trip or an exhaust temperature sensor going bad while driving on a trip disabling the truck leaving me stranded.
